We had a week long of birthday celebrations! On January 9, 2010 Andrew turned 10 years old..yep I said it TEN!! On January 13, 2010 Michael turned 6..where does the time go! They are 4 years and 4 days apart..so we always celebrate their birthdays together. This year we decided to not throw anything BIG..but somehow with just all my nieces and nephews it turns out big! The boys each got to invite one friend..so of course Andrew (or "Drew" as he likes to be called now) invited his best friend from down the street Cade. And Michael invited his best friend from church & school Parker. On Andrew's birthday we decided to just rent a bounce house and let the kids jump ALL day..it was so much easier than letting them run around the house & a pinata..I think we still have confetti in the grass from last years party LOL! They got lots of gifts from everyone! They really enjoyed their day with their family & best friends! We ended the night playing their new golf game on the Wii and eating ice cream!
On Tuesday January 12, we took the boys to Disneyland to celebrate their birthdays! They each got to take turns picking which rides we went on. Our friends Jennifer, Brandon & baby Carli (Collins) met up with us at Disneyland. Emma loved having Carli there..she kept saying "Hi Carli"..and she hasn't stopped since!
On Wednesday it was Michael's actual birthday so we took cupcakes for his class and they sang Happy Birthday to him. He got to pick where we were going to eat dinner at..he chose Taco Bell (I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree heehee) We invited our friends The Merrills (Parker's family) to eat dinner with us..we sang Happy Birthday to Michael and ate cupcakes.
They both enjoyed their week of celebrating..but mom & dad were exhausted!
*got some great pics but can't upload them :(

It's been awhile...
Well it's been 21 days since my last post..we've been busy. Birthday parties..Wii..Disneyland..hanging out with friends..bowling..crafts with the girls..and shift change. Unfortunately I can't post pictures of all the fun we've been having because our computer caught a virus. We've been using our laptop for internet use but it's old and slow..so the pictures will just have to wait.
Shift change is a hard week on all of us. This time around Juan is going from day shift to graveyard shift, so sleeping is always an issue..on both ends. I don't sleep very well when he isn't home, I hear EVERY noise! The earthquakes and thunderstorms haven't helped either..especially after watching 2012! The house is quiet for most of the day because the boys are at school, but once they come home it's hard to keep them quiet so Juan can sleep. The boys only get to see dad for about 30 minutes in the morning before they are off to school and for about 15 minutes before he showers and leaves in the afternoon. Poor Emma only sees him for the 15 minutes before he leaves, she's still asleep in the morning. She catches a glimpse of him in the bed and screams "DAAADDY" before I can close the door. The kids really miss him when he's on this shift..but thankfully it's only for 4 months and he'll be back on days..we keep this routine every 4 months..it gets old REAL quick!!
